The New Sumo Grande Mark II has been launched by Tata Motors on 14th Dec 2009. This is a new, advanced version of the existing premium car in the Sumo range of cars. The Grande Mark II has been designed with a macho stance giving it rugged good looks, and a tall SUV stance. It has got the Best in Class Rear Seat AC, a new chrome lined front grille, chrome inserted side rub rails, sporty wheel rims & blinkers on ORVMs which accentuate the stylish exteriors.

The first Tata Sumo was launched in 1994 by Tata Motors and was well received by the people. The New Grande Mark II would replace the Sumo Grande. It is available in 3 variants – GX, EX and LX and 7 colour options. Speaking at the launch, Mr.Anupam Misra, President, Concorde motors stated that "...The upgraded version is definitely a refined car. The power and performance can be rightly gauged when you drive the Mark II and it is a great family car in its segment…".
